Mighty Diamonds,
The Mighty Diamonds, Donald “Tabby” Shaw, Fitzroy ”Bunny” Simpson and Lloyd “ Judge” Ferguson formed in 1969 in the Trenchtown area of Kingston, Jamaica and for the past 32 years have been entertaining and educating the world with their sweet harmonies and conscious lyrics.
The trio has toured the world extensively and has a strong following in Europe and Japan as well as in the US. In Jamaica they are forever loved, performing many times at Reggae Sunsplash to the delight of all in attendance.
Pablo Moses,
PABLO MOSES, born in Jamaica as Pableto Henry, released his fi rst album in 1975, REVOLUTIONARY DREAM (issued in the United States by UA Records as I love I bring). A « university trained poet », according to the New York Village Voice’s Carol Cooper, « Moses articulated his Rastafarian ideology with unprecedented political frankness in a high pitched, horn-like voice over rhythms and harmonies laid down by keyboardist/ producer Geoffrey Chung ».
Dennis Alcapone & Winston Ready
Dennis Alcapone started his career with Keith Hudson in the 70′ with his first track recorded “Spanish Amigo”. A musical and artistic collaboration which will produce the first Dennis’ tubes. Everything started in the Kingston’s sound systems and everything proceed in Coxsone’s studios. Dennis Alcapone toasts on some of the best Jamaican riddims, ones of the highest to mix them et become one of the most respected reggae djs! His last album was recorded in 1997 in Mad Professor’s studios, others were worked with Third World or Trojan… Tours became scarce in the 2000′ but they became international making sound this exceptional voice all over the world!
He will share the stage this summer with Winston Reedy singer of the legendary English group The Cimarons. It has been a big success all over Europe and in Jamaica too where they had recorded an album and a “Talking Blues” version which had been number one in Jamaican charts.
In England, Winston Reedy has been elected many times as “Best Male Singer” by the BBC! His voice and his charisma could cross the reggae world and achieve a large public! Man had chance to meet great people from Jimmy Cliff to Dennis Brown or Paul McCartney…
An historic duo!! Their two voices combination makes alive again an old school style demonstrating capacities of reggae music to try out new ideas and vary possibilities!
